Our story

A comeback built on pastry

Morgan's has closed once, reopened, and expanded — but Lee and Helen's shortcrust recipe has stayed exactly the same throughout.

01

The wholesale years

Morgan's Pies began as a wholesale operation from South Quay Industrial Estate, supplying shops and wholesalers across the Island.

02

A difficult goodbye

Rising costs and the pressures of wholesale supply led Lee and Helen to close the business in 2023 — a loss felt by loyal customers across the Isle of Man.

03

Back on Strand Street

In 2024, the couple reopened directly to the public as Morgan's Bakery on Strand Street, Douglas — bringing the same pastry straight to customers instead of through wholesalers.

04

Expanding west to Peel

In May 2026, Morgan's opened a second shop on Michael Street in Peel, giving the west of the Island its own dedicated spot for the full range.
